Google Sales Top Estimates as Retail Ads Bolster Results: Google’s fourth quarter sales exceeded estimates due to retail advertisers spending more during the holidays. Google still has quite a bit of work to do on generating more revenue from mobile advertising, and from Product Listing Ads (PLA) but is expected to grab 41 percent of the U.S. digital ad market in 2014. This is way ahead of Facebook which is in second place and forecasted to only capture 8.2 percent.
