Before we countdown the year, let’s revisit some of our most memorable moments of 2021.
All of the achievements and milestones mentioned below are a result of our team’s hard work as well as our clients’ support. Thank you for being such a big part of our year!
Introduced Our Work From Anywhere Policy
In our second COVID-19 year, we’ve truly embraced our work from anywhere policy. As much as some people wanted to go back to the office, some were more than ok with staying remote. We were happy to be able to provide both options and let people choose what worked best for them.
Throughout the year, team members have worked from Toronto, Montréal, Alberta, Amsterdam, France, Guadeloupe, Brazil, California, Mexico to name a few!
Continued Our Growth in the Ontario Market
Our Toronto team is stronger than ever! In 12 months, our team grew by 10x. In 2022, we look to help more Ontario brands dominate their local market as well as the rest of Canada.
Launched Our Agency’s TikTok Account
We didn’t expect to have so much fun planning, filming and editing short-form videos for our new agency TikTok account.
Go take a look here.
Introduced Four New Digital Marketing Services and Expanded Existing Ones
It’s no secret that to succeed online, brands need to diversify their points of contact and marketing channels. To offer the best possible 360 digital marketing services to our clients, we introduced four new services…
- Performance-Driven Creative Design
- Email marketing
- Programmatic Through DV360
- Affiliate marketing
…and continued to expand existing ones like paid search, paid social, social media management, SEO and more.
Ranked on The Globe and Mail’s List of Canada’s Top Growing Companies
For the third consecutive year, Bloom ranked on the Globe and Mail’s ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies. The agency placed No. 212 with 194% three-year annual growth.
Navigated The Changing Digital Landscape
In 2021, brands faced new challenges in relation to tracking, targeting and conversion attribution. Apple’s iOS14 updates and the deprecation of third party cookies are two major events that come to mind.
Our Analytics department definitely had their hands full with implementing new tracking solutions for Facebook and Google. (We won’t even mention the upcoming transition to Google Analytics 4!)

Became The First Agency to Take Part In Google’s International Growth Program
Last February, we were happy to report that Bloom was the very first Canadian agency to be selected by Google to join their International Growth Program.
This exclusive program gave us access to a handful of tools and support to assess readiness for international growth and help us craft export strategies.

Strengthen Our Senior Management Level with 3 New Vice-Presidents
In early 2021, we welcomed Franz Fontaine as Vice President of Strategy. His background in both digital and traditional media and his strategic mindset helped us develop and execute 360 strategies for our clients.
His team now has four digital strategists bringing innovative tactics and building strategic media plans for clients across multiple industries.
After 7 years at the agency, Phil Pakenham was promoted to Vice President of Sales. Phil has always been a key player in Bloom’s growth.
Jeff Johnson, previously Director of Paid Media, was promoted to Vice President of Media. Jeff has been at Bloom for over 10 years now, he was actually Bloom’s very first employee hired by co-founders Martin Perron and Xurxo Vidal.
Published Our “What’s Blooming?” Video Series
Interviewing thought leaders through our “What’s Blooming?” video series has been an amazing opportunity.
We released episodes about Pinterest, Live Shopping, TikTok, Third-Party Cookies and VoIP technologies. Stay tuned for more in the new year!
Got Selected As One of Canada’s Great Place to Work (Again!)
Bloom ranked No. 11 on the Top 50 Canadian Best Workplaces between 50-99 employees. We also got nominated as one of the Best Workplaces in Québec and one of the Best Workplaces for Today’s Youth.
And… Good News! Bloom was recertified as a Great Place to Work in Canada for 2021-2022.
